The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to provide you with all information concerning the processing of personal data when using NIVEA Design.

Personal data is information that identifies you, such as your personal circumstances, your first name or surname, your company/agent, your e-mail address or telephone number, your Beiersdorf contact person (e-mail address), username and password.
Beiersdorf AG (hereafter referred to as “Beiersdorf”) stores, uses or transfers personal data provided by you only for authentication and rights assignment (pursuant to paragraph 1 of the Terms and Conditions of Use) in order to provide access to the NIVEA Design Platform and only to the extent that it is necessary for access and use of the NIVEA Design Platform. Beiersdorf will not transmit your personal data to third parties, nor sell or lease your personal data without your consent.

Legal basis for the data processing is Art 6 (1) b) GDPR, as the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract (the usage of NIVEA Design).

The data provided by us will only be stored by us as long as is necessary for fulfilling the respective purpose (usage of NIVEA Design) for which you have transmitted your data to us, or for complying with statutory provisions.

Beiersdorf requires all service providers with whom we may share your personal data to process your personal data in accordance with our instructions, this Privacy Policy and the applicable data protection regulations, in particular the GDPR.

Beiersdorf does not pass your personal data to third parties without your permission nor do we sell or lease your personal data. Beiersdorf reserves the right to disclose information about you if we are legally obliged to do so or if we are requested to hand it over by any legitimately acting authority and/or institution responsible for criminal prosecution.

The provision of your personal data is a requirement necessary to enter into a contract. You are not obliged to provide the personal data. However, if you are not providing the data, we cannot give you access to the NIVEA Design platform.

Rights of the data subject

As a data subject, you have the following rights according to Art. 15 et seqq. GDPR:

Right of access, right to rectification, right to erasure, right to restriction of processing, right to data portability, right to object the processing. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

We make use of so-called “cookies” on the NIVEA Design Platform. Cookies are small text files placed by your browser on your device in order to store certain information. When visiting our website again with the same device, the information stored in the Cookies will either be sent back to our website (“First Party Cookies”) or to another website to which the Cookie belongs (“Third Party Cookies”).

a) Performance cookies
We use cookies to better understand, how our website is used and to allow improved appeal, content and navigation. Cookies help us determine, for example, whether and which subpages have already been viewed on our website and what topics the user is interested in. In detail we collect general information, like the number of views of our pages and subpages, the time our sites have been viewed, the order in which our pages are viewed, the search terms, which led you to us, country region and maybe the city you viewed the website from, the name of the internet service provider and your language preference and the proportion of mobile devices that use our website. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google“). Google Analytics uses a specific form of cookies. The information produced by the cookie about the use of this website by you is generally transferred to a server of Google in the USA and stored there. Please note that on this website, Google Analytics has been extended by the code “gat._anonymizeIp ();” to ensure an anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP-masking). By this IP anonymization on this website, your IP address is shortened by Google within the territory of the EU respectively the member states of the European Economic Community. Only in exceptional cases, the whole IP address is transferred to a server of Google in the USA and shortened there.
